ORGANIZE AND DE-CLUTTER

BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE

It was time to grit my teeth, arrange the garbage bags, and prep the goodwill box. After three hours worth of organizing and decluttering, I transformed the room next to my office from a storage room back to a bathroom.

I hope the spirit of Spring will reward me and move us from the photo on the left to the one on the bottom.

I’ve … ahem … lived with the chaos for a long long time. Not willing to face the  journey toward making this a home again.

With all the moving, new flooring, soot damage …  mingled with my age and “delicate” memory … Tom would ask, “Where is the ………” and I would smile and say, “It’s in a safe place.”

APPLE BLOSSOMS

SPRING IS WAITING!

But had no clue where that might be.  Our lives have been a daily treasure hunt, and is great fun when we find something we’ve “lost!”

Later in the day, re-entering my “new” bathroom,  I sucked in a breath of sweet delight! When clutter goes, it feels like you can fly!

Now I hope to organize one area daily. The office is next. Oh my!

I still won’t remember where I put things.  But have become good at retracing my steps. Or thinking “Where would I put it if I was putting it away now?

Maybe I should make an index”

So come on spring!  You will be welcome!

CONSTRUCTIVE PROCRASTINATION … AGAIN

WA STATE BEAUTY EN ROUTE TO MT. BAKER

I must cease trip-cruising Facebook posts and get busy with the bookkeeping pile! Egad tax time is sliding toward me like an avalanche! I am w-a-y behind. Due to required moving of mega stuff into the garage three times this year. And I don’t know what the fifteen moving boxes conceal unless I read the labels …. that are yet unpacked. Sort of a good thing that I totalled the Prius and now we only have one vehicle … because the other half of the garage is … well … you know … Hmmmm. But hey! The sun is shining on the 100 foot bushy cedars outside my office window, branches dancing in the breeze, and sun-bathed in 50 shades of green, dotted with glowing gold and shining white.

SPRING IS ON THE WAY!

But first … with constructive procrastination, I must post this blog entry.  Chuckle. Wishing you all a good weekend!

Reading “The Alchemist” by Paolo Coelho

The current winter storms in the Pacific Northwest prevented my usual flurry of activities and opened a window for relaxation, reading and meditating. The phrase Personal Legend sent me on a personal search.

I’ve revisited my childhood to search out my favorite dreams and activities. This is a difficult task but I remember hungering for love, truth and a friendship with God.

God and I talked often … or I should say I talked to Him. His communication back to me was a feeling, or help with a decision.

Or letting me drop off a cliff.

But in my earliest memories I knew all people were equal and were not to be judged.

Enjoy the nostalgic photo. Hugs

Has a month gone by already?

Still messing around with technology.  Got a new Verizon Hot Spot, and setting it up.  Scurrying through each day wearing more hats than ever!  Wife, husband’s administrative assistant, bookkeeper for our wee businesses (writer, Consulting Engineer, Cottage Rental)  And also Mother, Grandmother, Caregiver, Landlord. Since Husband’s stroke last October, he has recovered so well, that no one would guess he has any difficulties.  He still has the acreage and the vegetable Garden in top shape. And every time I turn around he has done something special for me.  Now, one of these days, I expect to be able to write, “I have published one of my manuscripts.” The photo below reminds me of love, marriage, pearls of daily adventures, natures beauty, and um …. I’m  rambling.  Good night all!  Wishing each and every one the best!

BLOGGING AGAIN! HELLO ALL!

Skagit Valley Tulip Fields

Sending you all a quick wave!  I am at the tail end of a week in Charlotte NC, riding shotgun with husband who gave a talk on Hydro Power Operations and Maintenance at the Hydro Vision Conference.  Why is this so amazing?  Well, he is … um … over 80 years old and had a stroke last September.  He is doing quite well!  Lots to be grateful for.

I am heading home with new resolve to finish revising my 3 manuscripts. I am considering entering bits and pieces of my writing here.  Give me _ _ _ _ if I don’t follow through!  Grin.

Music From Celtic Thunder Group, My Favorite Scots.

I hope you all have a good week.  Autumn is a busy time for many.  Many Writers Conferences and workshops. And there is the NaNoWrMo. National Write a Book (in a) Month.  (Not for me this year.) So before we all begin, whether we are writers, or stay-at home and work, or in the external job force, here is a little music to enjoy.

I didn’t get a poll  ready. Maybe Next Sunday?
