A small group of writers gathered, braving the northwest heat, to share food and conversation in a Northwest WA park in Renton. A potluck picnic, families included was a perfect way to pass the afternoon, and begin August! Tall evergreens shaded our group and a gentle breeze offered the illusion of cool air. I always come away from conversations with other writers inspired and learning something new.
The Greater Seattle RWA writers Association is gearing up for the fall Writer’s Conference, the “Emerald City Writers Conference” in Bellevue, WA. October 9, 10, and 11. There are still openings if anyone reading this is interested. The group is dedicated to their member writers, is an excellent source of information, provides opportunities to teach and learn about the craft of writing, the business of writing, meets monthly to share good news of its members, and encourages those of us who are on this journey together. The link is listed under “Writer’s Associations.”
Survive this heat every way you can!
