Yesterday husband and I stained the back deck surface … no small job as it runs almost the full length of the home.  Brushing, sanding, sweeping, (rails, too!). Nature was merciful as the cloud cover and a breeze kept us cool … and a slight thunder shower to make us take a break.  He did most of the hard work.

Managed to get some writing done. Talked to one of my mentors to get some good advice. She earned a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin.  I nudge her for help and receive encouragement often.

I am about to harvest more blackberries and blueberries (before it gets hot) Husband just informed me that the deck rails will be dry enough to paint in about an hour. Where is the rain when I need it?

Talk to y’all in a few days. Bye for now … I’m off to talk to the wasps and bees. (In the blackberry bushes …) Have a great week.
